We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Rang to join our Michelin-starred restaurant and contribute to our commitment to culinary excellence and exceptional guest experiences. As a Chef de Rang, you will play a vital role in creating a seamless and unforgettable dining experience for our esteemed guests.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their needs are anticipated and exceeded throughout their dining experience.
- Greet and seat guests, offering personalized recommendations and answering any questions regarding the menu or special dietary requirements.
- Effectively communicate with the kitchen and other front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of dishes.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and wine pairings, in order to provide detailed explanations and recommendations to guests.
- Set up and meticulously maintain the assigned section, including tables, silverware, glassware, and other necessary amenities.
- Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior team members, ensuring consistent delivery of service standards and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate with the sommelier or beverage team to ensure seamless wine service and provide recommendations to guests based on their preferences.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the assigned section, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Continuously strive for personal and professional development, keeping up-to-date with industry trends and attending training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Rang or similar role within a Michelin-starred or fine dining restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service, with the ability to provide detailed explanations and recommendations to guests.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and work effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of service are executed to the highest standards.
- A positive and professional attitude, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Impeccable grooming and presentation standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
