Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Reception Supervisor to join our team at a prestigious luxury hotel and Michelin star restaurant located in Cork.This is a unique opportunity to work in a world-class establishment and contribute to its exceptional reputation. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the reception area, ensuring the highest level of service is provided to guests
- Handle guest reservations and inquiries, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the hotel and restaurant offerings
- Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, creating a memorable first impression
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure seamless guest experiences, including managing table bookings and special requests
- Oversee the check-in and check-out process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Train and mentor reception staff, providing guidance on service standards and performance expectations
- Monitor and maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring the reception area is well-equipped and presentable
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as managing guest profiles, updating records, and generating reports
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, adhering to the highest standards of accuracy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with other departments to address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction and exceed their expectations
- Stay updated on local attractions, events, and dining options to provide recommendations to guests
- Uphold the hotel’s standards and values, ensuring a positive and professional work environment
Requirements:
- Previous supervisory experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel or Michelin star restaurant
- Excellent knowledge of reservation systems and procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with acute attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer systems and familiarity with hotel management software
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, resolving conflicts and guest issues effectively
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per business requirements
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus
- Familiarity with the local area and attractions is highly desirable
